Sue Leonard

Sue Leonard was born in Hamilton, Canada, but it was her move to Vancouver that launched a musical career that would see her record and perform with some of the world's best-known artists, including k.d. lang, Bon Jovi, Bruce Willis, Johnny Neel of the Allman Brothers Band, and many others.

Sue's distinctive voice can be heard on backing vocals for k.d. lang's "Constant Craving" and Bon Jovi's hit "Lay Your Hands on Me".

Her live performance resume is equally remarkable. Sue has appeared on "Saturday Night Live", "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, "Late Night with David Letterman", "The Arsenio Hall Show", an MTV Unplugged special, the 35th and 36th Grammy Awards, the Juno Awards, the Canadian Country Music Awards, "Top of the Pops", TV France, and a BBC One television special with k.d. lang. As a member of The Reclines, she also earned CCMA recognition for Best Backup Band in Canada in 1988 and 1989.

Sue was a lead vocalist with Dundas, Ontario's Cootes Paradise Band, nominees for a 2019 Maple Blues Award, and currently performs with Hamilton's sultry swamp-blues-folk group Leonard, Burns and Dell.
